Hey all

This is it, I just couldnt stop once I started, It was a real Mark Zuckerberg moment.  As you can see there are elements from the mock up still in this plus I have included the three main events in a kind of round about editorial style. I still have to finish the back page although I asume that will be a breeze after this. If there are any spelling mistakes in there tough, its your own fault for letting a dyslexic do this and I'm damn proud to be one(Gods damned Grammar Facists). The back page will now be dedicated to the rest of the Project plus my own little twist. I will Include everyone in this as there will be more space minus the header, Anastasia's work will take the form of a memorium notice, if anyone has any sugestions for there parts of the projects please don't hesitate to contact me immediately. I will have this completed by sunday. I will be in London from Tuesday to Friday and will be working all saturday morning which is a shame. But I will bloody well be there in spirit...... and sunday. I better go to bed I have work in six Hours.

Good Night

Hey all
This is the header for the front page of The Gazette, I drew it by hand as I am an full of my self artist, pluss I like imperfrection. Authenticity is something people identify so I tried to keep it rugged. I dont think it looks too bad. The other thing about all this is that when this stuff is printed I think we want degradation in the print so I suggest we print one prime direct from the printer then photocopy that so that there is some detail lost in the reproduction. The symbol on the right is the treaty stone with a sword in it, I like that subversion of an iconic Limerick Image but with an athurian kind of vibe too. Its a confused history but it kind of an amalgmation of the Richard Harris statue(which lost its sword in the recent past) and the actual stone. I think I might actually to this at some stage as an unsanctiond public art instalation so I'm not going to give too much away about it. Keep an eye out though cause it will definately appear durring the summer

Yours Truely, madly, deeply

Local Vampire Minority Raise Support for Blood Drive

Picture
Hey all
Here is an old Illustration I did of Former mayor and current Councilor John Gilligan and the mayor at the time who I never bothered to learn the name of who looks like dracula. I like the ominous sounding Name of Limerick city council when you just refer to it as "The Council". I also like the idea of making an allusion to them all being vampires as it has a satirical aspect refering to politician as akin to blood thirsty parasites. The mundanity of the image I sourced for this illustration was the core reason I did this but the justifications I came up with became more complex the more I worked on this. In the article I am working on which is tied to this illustration I talk about a local vampire minority raising suport for Limerick(Lemurias) blood bank. I like that dark twist to a mundane event. I also like refering to them as a minority as opposed to some sort of legend because of how that deals with peoples attitiude to the unknown which in the gothic tradition vampires represent the utmost.

But what ever, its just funny.

Steve

P.S. If there is any concern about local government's enevitable defence against an image depicting members of the council as vampires all we need to do is say to them that they are complaining about the fact they have been depicted as vampires and that is f**king stupid and why no one takes them seriously. Its all meant in the best of humour and there is no personal defamation involved.

Hey all
This is a mock up I did for the paper before I had a proper Idea of what we needed to do and before the information for the bios and the events. The front page of the paper is nearly finished and some elements from this have remained. Originally I thought that I might set the paper in the paralel earth where Limerick Was in fact Lemuria(the ancient word for atlantis). I drew up a fictional history tied into real historical information and jumped to plenty of conclusions. For one thing the corect term for a citizen of Limerick is Limerusian which could easily be interpreted as an angulation of Lemurian which would be a citizen of Lemuria. I wanted the paper to be a "What If" scenario, an artifact from a Limerick with its own unique history which is similar to our own at first glance but completely different in the subtle differences. This alternate city is a satirical miror of our own.
